A Community Built on Kindness
The Christchurch Aunties is a network of over 6500 people helping women and children in Christchurch, Ashburton, and the Waimakariri and Selwyn Districts who have experienced family violence, have been displaced, and who are in immediate need.
Our vision is a Canterbury where all women and children who have been exposed to abuse and family harm, are safe, well supported and resourced, through the domestic violence agencies we collaborate with.
It's a helping hand in their goal to change theirs and their families futures.

How You Can Help
Help us support women and families.
Whether you're an individual, a business, a school group, or simply someone wanting to help - your support matters.
Rebuilding life after family violence starts with the basics: a clean bed, kitchen essentials, toiletries, and safe appliances. These everyday items, given with care, become powerful tools for healing and independence.
Christchurch Aunties supports women and children through trusted family harm and community agencies—we don’t donate directly to individuals. By working closely with agency staff, we ensure practical help gets to those who need it, quickly and safely.
We also support aligned organisations like Linwood Avenue Community Corner Trust, Dress for Success, PIPS, and partner with groups like Butterfly Books, who share resources with Canterbury whānau.
